'Abuse by Proxy' is the long awaited debut release from UNTER NULL mastermind Erica Dunham's side-project, Stray. Where her main project is based around harsher industrial electronics, this project features a much more subtle approach. While the beats, synths and effects are still there, they are utilized with a much more melancholic and contemplative direction. The end result is melodic and uplifting while retaining a sense of longing and emotional catharsis. The album shifts between EBM tinged songs to almost trip-hop style tunes, and boasts clean vocals in contrast to the harder approach of Unter Null. A hugely satisfying album that will find favour with any fan of intelligent EBM and melodic Industrial, this is anther great achievement from a rising star of the electronic scene.Stray- Abuse by Proxy regular edition
